The brief

IMC Worldwide, a UK-based engineering consultancy, commissioned a structural assessment and retrofitting programme across 10 government schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under the DFID-funded School Construction and Rehabilitation Programme (SCRP). Each school required structural health assessment, identification of deficiencies, and targeted rectification work.

Plan and execute retrofit interventions within existing school buildings. Work on existing structures requires careful coordination between the observed condition, the specified intervention and site access.

MCC carried out structural assessment and targeted retrofitting across the ten schools under the programme's project requirements, including work to address missing structural members.

The work, delivered.

Retrofit work across ten government schools was completed in 2020. The programme forms part of MCC's institutional project experience; each building's assessment and completion records govern its technical conclusions.
